Our future

Throughout its history the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has worked tirelessly to improve the lives – and survival rates – of people with heart conditions. But for all our success, there is still much to be done and we need the help of supporters like you to continue our life saving research.

Coronary heart disease is still one of the UK’s biggest killers. In the UK 7 million people are living with a heart condition. Every day 420 people die of a cardiovascular disease.

Surgery techniques can still be improved. Many babies still struggle with a congenital heart defect. And there are exciting developments in genetics and stem cell technology yet to be found, which could revolutionise the treatment of many heart conditions.

The BHF is committed to embracing technology to enable it to continue to provide a world-class service. It is only with your support that it can do this and maintain its investment in research that tackles heart disease.

With your support we’re continuing to fund research that will make the difference for millions of people in the UK and many more around the world. You can help us keep making breakthroughs by donating today.

We will continue to break new ground, create new treatments and discover new cures. One day, we’ll defeat heart disease for good.
